The Spring 2022 Edition of NJCTGA News is now available!

It’s Christmas Trees 101:  Weed Management by our friends at the Michigan State University Extension.  This article covers how to broaden your weed control effectiveness and to reduce the chance of resistant weeds.  In an update from the Christmas Tree Promotion Board, the results of the Annual Seedling and Transplant Supplier Survey are in!  Good Hollow Farm in Sussex County is in the Growers Spotlight in this edition.   Steve Snook is an enthusiastic grower on this 8th-generation family farm and his grandchildren are helping plant the Christmas Trees. We’re also welcoming some new members to the NJCTGA, so be sure to say hello!

Christmas Tree Farm Tips

— Most farms are only open daytime hours.

— Tagging (reserving trees) is permitted on some farms.

— NO AXES or CHAINSAWS ARE ALLOWED.

— Most farms open daily seven days/week unless otherwise indicated.

— Telephone the farm for certainty that trees are still available or to ask any other questions that might make your visit more enjoyable.
